Advice and information on exporting


	Rajapack provide a number of packaging items which have been specifically designed for exporting.
	It is important to protect your goods in haulage. It is also important to reduce the spread of destructive organisms from one continent to another.
	Packaging comprised of reformed wood such as plywood, chipboard or MDF have been subject to strong heat treatment during manufacture to reduce the risk of destructive organisms. Cartons, plastic and reformed wood can therefore be exported to all destinations.
	The following packaging items are ideal for exporting. Those marked with the following symbol can be exported to any destination.

Presswood pallets

. Extra Strong
carries loads up to 1250kg, perfectly supported across the feet. Manufactured from processed recycled waste timber and moulded pallets.
. Economical
Half the weight of a normal pallet. So reducing freight costs. Designed to nest within each other to save valuable storage space. Fifty nested pallets are only 2m high.
. Protective
Low moisture absorption to product. Manufactured without nails or screws.

Export quality heavy duty double wall carton

. Essential protection
These cartons are excellent for long haulage goods and exporting. Made from double wall top quality rigid flute board, each carton is designed to fit exactly onto a standard pallet size.

Durable fluting protects your heavy fragile products.
. Excellent resistance
Will not distort or crush with vertical pressure from stacked pallets.

Plywood foldable boxes with mounted softwood pallet

. Shock resistant
These boxes have three pallet feet assemblies attached, each block measuring 310 x 100 x 95 mm for four way entry. Manufactured from 6 mm thick birch plywood they can be easily opened using a hammer or screwdriver.
. Re-usable
The plywood pallet has low moisture absorption, low weight and good strength so they can be re-used many times. The boxes have steel protector strips around the perimeter that increase the strength and stability, and locating slots for steel tongues on the side of the box.
. Exporting
Plywood is not considered a phytosanitary problem according to international regulations, therefore the pallet can be shipped to any destination.

Plywood foldable boxes

. Export shipments
Ideal for shipping your products overseas, these crates are lighter than others, therefore reducing freight costs. They are also strong, shock resistant, reusable and easy to assemble
. Easily opened
Manufactured from 6 mm thick birch plywood, these cases are easily opened using a hammer or screwdriver. They are delivered flat in three parts, base, frame and lid.
. Important features
The lid and base have steel protectors around the perimeter that increase strength and stability, they also have locating slots for steel tongues on the side of the box. The corner bands are galvanised steel and fixed securely to the box, with more than 400 pins per metre.
. Exporting
Plywood is not considered a phytosanitary problem according to regulations, therefore the case can be shipped to any destination.

Create your own pallet cases

. Reusable
Create your own pallet cases by using foldable, re-usable components. Individual collars and lids allow you to build your own size case over standard pallets.
. Heavy products
These pallet collars and lids are ideal for heavy products as they are manufactured from 21mm thick Scandinavian deal.
. Versatile
Use the lids to build layers of products on top of one another, or to secure contents before strapping. Fit one collar on top of another to the height you require, the bottom hinge of collar has a 30mm projecting tongue that fits over the corner of the pallet of the collar below.

. Complies with ISPM15 regulations for international export outside of the European Community.

What does ISPM15 mean?

It is the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures (NIMP15 in French). Its aim is to reduce the spread of destructive organisms from one continent to another. This standard is applicable for all wooden packaging thicker than 6mm that is destined for countries outside of the European Community.

How is this achieved?

The wood of packaging and pallets is fumigated in Methylene Bromide or treated at high temperature (56°C for 30 minutes). All suitable packaging is then indelibly marked, in the form of a feather logo. The supplier takes responsibility that all his packaging conforms to this regulation.
