I’m delighted to report that\u00a0Rajapack<\/a>‘s fundraising day for the charity Refuge<\/a> proved a roaring success!<\/p>\n

We raised exactly \u00a3200 to help buy Christmas presents for women and children who sadly have to spend the festive season in refuges, having fled the family home after suffering domestic violence.<\/p>\n

Rajapack raffle prizes<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

On November 29th we wore Christmas jumpers to work, festively decorated our desks, and held a raffle and food sale to raise much-needed funds for women and children forced to spend the holiday season in a refuge.<\/p>\n

There were an exciting array of raffle prizes on offer, including champagne, wine, luxury chocolates, and a watch set.<\/p>\n

Staff got busy baking and selling some delicious festive treats – which the whole company enjoyed tucking into!<\/p>\n

We were delighted to raise money for such a worthy charity. As mentioned in a recent blog<\/a>,\u00a0a talk given by Refuge to Rajapack earlier in the year really opened our eyes to the shocking reality of domestic violence.\u00a0We learnt that\u00a0one in four women experience domestic violence and two women a week are killed by abusive partners.<\/p>\n

The success of our festive fundraiser has motivated us to raise even more money for charities in 2014, and we will be holding more events in the coming months.<\/span><\/p>\n
