Every year the online retail industry is growing, and not just for big name online stores. They are usually items of value, would generally be considered fragile, and can be susceptible to static damage. Below is an outline of the steps you should be taking to make sure they get to their destination in one piece, and still working!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Begin by taking any antistatic precautions required. This will mainly be necessary for individual components. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/plastic-paper-bags\/antistatic-vci-bags_C1428.html\">Antistatic bags<\/a> or foam prevent electrical charge building up as components move about in transit &#8211; Such a charge could damage circuitry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Wrap the item you are transporting in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/protective-packaging\/bubble-wrap-packaging_C1610.html\">bubble wrap<\/a>. Use two layers if it is a particularly heavy item.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>If the item you are packing is potentially scratch prone a layer of foam around it, prior to the bubble wrap will provide adequate protection from scratches. Alternatively a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/protective-packaging\/bubble-wrap-packaging\/bubble-wrap-blanket_PDT01711.html\">bubble blanket<\/a> can do the job of both.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-366\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box5-1024x662.jpg\" alt=\"Phone packaging\" width=\"625\" height=\"404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box5-1024x662.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box5-300x193.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box5-768x497.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box5-1536x993.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box5-2048x1324.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box5-624x403.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use a box that is only a little bit bigger than the item you are transporting. If the box is too large there will be wasted space and unnecessary amounts of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/protective-packaging\/void-loose-fill_C1616.html\">void fill<\/a> will be required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Fill the box with void fill to 1\/3 full.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-367\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box4-1024x662.jpg\" alt=\"Electronics packaging\" width=\"625\" height=\"404\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box4-1024x662.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box4-300x193.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box4-768x497.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box4-1536x993.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box4-2048x1324.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/raja-box4-624x403.jpg 624w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 625px) 100vw, 625px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Place the item you are wishing to transport in the box. Find a box marginally bigger than your first (1 to 2 inch gap around each edge) and fill the bottom with a thin layer of void fill.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Place you first box into the second and fill the surround gaps and cover with void fill.
