Through their comprehensive evaluation system, EcoVadis provides a rating, feedback and detailed assessment of performance against such areas as the Environment, Labour &amp; Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">By generating sustainability scores and detailed feedback, EcoVadis helps organisations like ours to improve their responsible practices and align these with sustainability goals. We will use our assessments to enhance transparency within our supply chain and to identify opportunities for how to further develop our approach to sustainability and \u2018doing the right thing\u2019\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">An EcoVadis certification is valid for one year, at which point the company must be re-assessed to see if it has improved or maintained its standards.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 aria-level=\"2\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">How significant is EcoVadis gold certification?<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;134245418&quot;:true,&quot;134245529&quot;:true,&quot;335559738&quot;:160,&quot;335559739&quot;:80}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">EcoVadis assigns gold certification to only the top 5% of companies they assess, and RAJA UK has fallen into the 97<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> percentile, making us part of the top 3% of companies assessed in the UK.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\"> When asked for a quote our HR an<\/span>d CSR Director Emily Goss had this to say:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-5385 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/EmilyHS.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"233\" height=\"238\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/EmilyHS.png 590w, https:\/\/www.rajapack.co.uk\/blog-uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/EmilyHS-420x430.png 420w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 233px) 100vw, 233px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201c<\/span><\/b><em>This is a key landmark <\/em><em>in what will be an ongoing journey for us as a business as\u00a0<\/em><em>we raise the profile and importance of our core value of \u2018Do The Right Thing\u2019 with all those we wor<\/em><em>k with internally and<\/em><em>\u00a0externally. I am so proud of all of the hard work going on across the business to ensure that we are bringing this value to life and being conscious of the legacy th<\/em><em>at we are leaving for future<\/em><em>\u00a0generations.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I a<\/em><em>m lo<\/em><em>oking forward to what the next 12 months hold and the progress we can continue to make in this space. There is so much more we can do to work in partnership with our customers to help them be more sustainability-minded and navigate the complexities of legislative changes such as EPR. A key focus will be to continue to forge stronger relationships with suppliers to be more innovative and forward-thinking and create more accessible solutions to the challenges faced by the packaging industry.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This is our (RAJA UK&#8217;s) mark in the sand that we will learn and grow from, shaping the future is only possible with collaboration from all those we come into contact with, and I am excited to continue that challenge<\/em><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">\u201d<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">This certification sits alongside our selection of ISO certifications, (including Health &amp; Safety, Environment and Information Security) and our recent product award wins for our sustainable cold chain solutions as signs of our progress to improve our operations.
