RAJA UK Charity Work: Driving Positive Change for People and the Planet

At RAJA UK, we believe business should be a force for good. While we’re proud to be a leading packaging supplier, our purpose reaches beyond products. We are part of the RAJA Group, Europe’s largest distributor of packaging, office supplies, and equipment; and a business rooted in social responsibility. Our charity work reflects our long-standing commitment to supporting women’s rights, promoting environmental sustainability, and strengthening communities both locally and globally.

At the heart of this commitment is the RAJA-Danièle Marcovici Foundation, established in 2006 to improve the lives of women around the world. Funded by contributions from the sale of eco-responsible packaging products, the Foundation partners with grassroots organisations to deliver meaningful, long-term impact. From supporting education and vocational training to defending women’s rights and promoting climate resilience, the Foundation’s work spans over 56 countries and has already helped more than 110,000 women. It’s a powerful example of how commercial success can fuel humanitarian progress.

Here in the UK, we bring that same spirit to life through practical action and community involvement. We actively fundraise for the Women & Environment programme, having raised over £37,000 in 2023 alone. We’ve supported reforestation efforts by planting hundreds of trees in Corby to help offset emissions and preserve biodiversity. We work with local universities to offer mentorship and career development opportunities to students. And our team regularly participates in campaigns such as International Women’s Day, Movember, and the Stockholm Marathon, raising awareness, building team spirit, and reinforcing our role as a values-led business.

Our approach to CSR aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in the areas of gender equality, climate action, and quality education. But more importantly, it reflects who we are: a company that cares deeply about people, progress, and the planet.
