Made from potato starch, these biodegradable mailing bags are ideal for any e-commerce business that is looking for an eco-friendlier postage solution. Ivory white in colour and silky to the touch, these semi-transparent mailing bags are perfect for providing a subtle, premium finish for your products. Each mailing bag also features a fold-down flap that comes complete with an address box and a safety warning notice. So you have a clear area to write your customers detail. For added peace of mind, these compostable mailing bags are both tearproof and waterproof, making them perfect for protecting products from the elements while in transit.

Each of these mailing bags feature a peel and seal strip. Perfect for sending products to customers, the strip provides a semi-permanent strip on initial contact sealing. For long term storage, leave the mailing at room temperature for several hours after sealing. That extra time will help provide a more permanent seal.

Suitable for industrial composting, the material will disintegrate into pieces smaller than 2mm x 2mm after 12 weeks. And after 6 months, the mailing bags will biodegrade into a combination of carbon dioxide (CO2), water, and biomass. For your customers, these mailing bags are still suitable for domestic composting. However, the disintegration time will vary and will take longer than industrial compost.

Conforms to standard EN13432 (industrial composting). These eco-friendly mailing bags meet certain criteria to reach this specific standard. That includes not exceeding strict limits for toxic elements, and not adversely affecting the quality of the compost itself. Please be aware that the mailing bags are not suitable for recycling. If no composting option is available, they need to be disposed of with regular waste.
