Paper kraft tape is perfect for general carton sealing where kerbside recyclability with the box is the deciding factor. The 57gsm Kraft paper backing and natural rubber adhesive are both paper-fibre compatible, so both the tape and the sealed carton goes straight into the kerbside paper and cardboard stream. The self adhesive Kraft paper tape tears by hand or from a dispenser and bonds on contact from 10°C to 60°C, handling cartons under 20kg. Available in brown and white across three widths: 25mm, 48mm and 75mm on 50m rolls.

Not for
- Cartons over 20kg: use reinforced self-adhesive paper tape (over 30kg) for heavier loads.

- Tamper-evident requirements: this tape doesn't penetrate board fibres on removal; use a WAT alternative where opening must be visibly detectable.
How to use
Natural rubber adhesive bonds well across a wide range of carton board grades, but the 10°C minimum means it shouldn't be applied on cold carton surfaces straight from refrigerated storage.
- Clean the carton surface: Remove dust and any moisture from the flap. Natural rubber adhesive grips well on dry board but releases faster on damp or contaminated surfaces under load.
- Tear or cut to length: The 57gsm Kraft paper tears cleanly by hand across the width; for consistent lengths on higher-volume lines a pistol grip dispenser with a 76mm core is the faster option.
- Apply at 10°C or above: Natural rubber maintains tack a few degrees lower than hot melt adhesives but applying to cold board increases the risk of edge lift in transit.
- Press the full length: Run a firm stroke along the tape from one end to the other; for the 75mm width, press across the full width rather than just along the centreline.
- Store carefully: Keep at 15–25°C below 65% humidity. Shelf life is 6 months; natural rubber adhesive degrades faster in heat or damp than acrylic, so first-in, first-out stock rotation matters.

Yes; the 57gsm Kraft paper backing and natural rubber adhesive are both paper-fibre compatible, so sealed cartons can go directly into the kerbside paper and cardboard stream without removing the tape.
What is the difference between this and polypropylene packaging tape for e-commerce?
Performance on dry board is comparable for cartons under 20kg, but polypropylene film isn't kerbside recyclable and cannot go into the carton recycling stream; this self-adhesive paper tape recycles with the box, which simplifies disposal for the end customer.
Why does this tape have a 10°C minimum when most paper tapes show 15°C?
Natural rubber adhesive maintains better tack at lower temperatures than hot melt or acrylic, but it still shouldn't be applied in refrigerated environments.
What is the white version used for?
White kraft tape suits retail, gift and presentation cartons where brown tape would be visually inconsistent with the packaging; all other specs are identical to the brown grade.
Why is the 25mm width in the range?
25mm suits narrow bundling, document sealing and parcel reinforcement at joins where a 48mm tape would cover too much of the carton surface; the same Kraft paper and natural rubber adhesive apply, just in a narrower format.
