Absorpole® Shipping Desiccant Poles and Water Collector protects pallets and goods from humidity during export and container transport. Made with calcium chloride, it absorbs moisture from the air and collects it as brine in the blue water container, helping prevent re-evaporation. Each pole offers a two litre water collection capacity and is sized at 1180mm wide and 110mm long for installation in container wall recesses.

This Absorpole desiccant works in shipping containers and transport environments where damp air, cold conditions and long journeys put pallets and exported goods at risk.
- Export containers carrying dry goods where moisture in the air can affect cartons, labels, packaging and palletised stock during transit.
- Sea, air and vehicle transport exposed to damp or cold temperatures, where humidity levels fluctuate through the journey.
- Longer routes where each pole's two litre water collection capacity helps keep captured moisture away from the load.
- Containerised pallet loads where a slim hanging format saves floor space and keeps the collector clear of goods when installed with a minimum 25 mm gap.
Not for
- Direct contact with products, food or absorbent materials. Hang the pole on the container wall with clearance from the pallet load.
- Small cartons, parcels or sealed packs that need compact moisture control. Choose silica gel desiccants for individual packages.
- Loads where you cannot safely hang the pole from a container lashing ring. Use suitable protective packaging to separate, cushion or wrap the goods instead.

How does the pole collect moisture?
The calcium chloride absorbs moisture from the air. The absorbed moisture forms brine, which collects in the blue water container so it does not return to the container air.
How do I install it in a container?
Pull out the grey container section, use the supplied hook and hang the pole from a container lashing ring. Position it in the corrugated recess of the container wall where possible to reduce the risk of forklift damage during loading and unloading.
How many poles do I need?
For a 20 foot container, use around 6 to 8 poles for dry goods or 8 to 10 for moist goods. For a 40 foot container, use around 10 to 12 poles for dry goods or 12 to 14 for moist goods.
Is it suitable for businesses with sustainability requirements?
