The white polypropylene film provides a clean, high-contrast background for the red printed text, making the message clearly legible across the top seam of a carton even in busy warehouse environments and on conveyor systems. Brown or clear film tapes with printed text offer lower contrast and are less visible at a distance. The 48mm width ensures the message spans the full depth of the seam and remains visible after the carton flaps are closed.
FRAGILE covers the broadest range of fragile goods and is the standard choice for general breakable items. FRAGILE DO NOT CRUSH is the correct choice for items where vertical compression is the primary risk: soft packaging, hollow ceramics, inflatable goods and items in thin-walled boxes. CONTENTS CHECKED & SECURITY SEALED is used where the carton has been inspected before despatch and the recipient needs visible confirmation of this — common in returns processing, high-value fulfilment and regulated goods despatch. Ordering the correct message by SKU avoids the need to maintain separate label stock for each instruction type.
The 25 micron polypropylene film is hand-tearable, allowing packing staff to apply fragile tape without a dedicated dispenser. This makes it practical for low-volume operations, secondary sealing stations and packing benches where a dispenser is not available. For higher-volume use, the tape loads onto any standard 76mm-core pistol-grip or bench dispenser.
The acrylic adhesive bonds to corrugated board, paper and card surfaces at ambient temperature without a dwell period. As with all acrylic adhesive tapes, pressing the tape down firmly along its full length immediately after application maximises contact area and bond strength. Allow 15 to 30 seconds before moving the carton.
The polypropylene film and print are UV resistant, maintaining print legibility and adhesive performance in brightly lit warehouses and during outdoor transit. Store rolls in sealed original packaging away from direct sunlight before use.

Start at the centre of the top seam and apply in one continuous pass toward each edge. A single uninterrupted strip keeps the printed message fully readable across the carton face. Applying in two short overlapping strips breaks the message and reduces visual impact at the point of handling.
Run the heel of your hand or a flat tool along the full tape length immediately after laying. Allow 15 to 30 seconds before stacking or moving the carton. The acrylic adhesive continues to develop bond strength during this window; moving the carton immediately after sealing risks the seal lifting at the edges before the bond has fully set.
Order the correct message SKU for your operation. FRAGILE (WP11) for general fragile goods; FRAGILE DO NOT CRUSH (WP20) for compression-sensitive items; CONTENTS CHECKED & SECURITY SEALED (WP19) for inspected or high-value shipments. Using the wrong message — or a generic FRAGILE label on a compression-sensitive item — reduces the effectiveness of the handling instruction.
