For added protection
Bubble wrap with extra large bubbles cushions fragile, bulky and awkwardly shaped goods through packing, storage and transit. The 32mm air cells sit deeper than standard grades, so the film absorbs knocks around edges, corners and protruding parts. Air retention technology limits how fast air escapes the cells, which keeps the cushioning working through longer storage runs.
It's made from clear low density polythene, so it stays flexible enough to mould around uneven shapes and interleave between products. It also tears in a straight line, so packers can size a length without reaching for a blade.
Each roll is 50m long, in widths of 500mm, 750mm, 1000mm and 1500mm. Sold and priced per pack.
Where does bubble wrap with extra large bubbles work best?
Extra large bubbles bubble wrap works best where the item is big or awkward and the packer needs cushioning depth rather than a thin protective layer. The 32mm bubbles do the work that two or three passes of a smaller grade would.
- Wrapping large fragile goods, because the deeper cells hold the product away from the carton wall at the edges and corners.
- Protecting bulky or irregular items, because the film moulds around protruding parts instead of bridging over them.
- Filling space inside oversized cartons, where a few metres of this jumbo bubble wrap stops the contents shifting in transit.
- Interleaving stacked goods in production or storage, where a flexible layer keeps surfaces apart without adding much weight.
Not for
- Goods over 8kg or high-value items that need more burst resistance. Choose heavy duty extra large bubble wrap, which has 30% higher burst resistance than this grade.
- Packing where recycled content is a requirement. Choose the bubble wrap with large bubbles with 30% recycled material and 25mm bubbles.
- Small or delicate items, where 32mm cells are too deep to wrap neatly. Use small bubble wrap instead.
- Anywhere polythene is unsuitable and a paper wrap is needed. Consider packaging paper for those lines.

Choose the right bubble wrap
Bubble size and burst resistance are what separate the grades. Match the bubble height to the size of the item, then check the weight before deciding whether you need the stronger film.
- Choose this bubble wrap with extra large bubbles for general protection of large, awkward or fragile goods under 8kg, in any of the four roll widths.
- Choose heavy duty extra large bubble wrap for items over 8kg, or where the shipment needs the extra 30% burst resistance.
- Choose void fill when the job is filling carton space rather than wrapping the product surface.
Product FAQs
How is this different from heavy duty extra large bubble wrap?
Both use 32mm bubbles, but the heavy duty grade has 30% higher burst resistance and is built for items over 8kg. This grade suits general protection below that weight.
What is the difference between 32mm and 25mm bubbles?
The 32mm cells give a deeper cushion for bulkier goods. The 25mm grade sits closer to the product and suits items that need cushioning without as much bulk.
Which way round should the bubbles face?
Face the bubbles towards the item. That puts the air cells directly between the product surface and the outer carton.
Does the cushioning last in long-term storage?
Yes. Air retention technology slows the rate at which air escapes the cells, so the bubbles keep their depth rather than flattening on the shelf.
Which width should I order?
Pick the width closest to the girth of the item so you waste less per wrap. The 500mm and 750mm rolls suit single products, while 1000mm and 1500mm cover furniture and bulkier goods.
