Choosing the correct pallet wrap for your pallet depends on a number of factors including:
Shape of the pallet:
Awkwardly-shaped angles and inconsistently-shaped pallet loads will determine the type of wrap to choose. Irregularly-shaped loads are best served by cast pallet wrap, blown pallet wrap, and pre-stretched wrap, for example, due to the flexible, adaptable nature of the stretch. Alternatively, a simple paper pallet wrap solution made from Kraft paper is ideal for pallets with no overhang or protruding elements.
Weight of the pallet:
The heavier the pallet load, the thicker the wrap will need to be. For stabilising heavier loads, blown pallet wrap with the ability to stretch both widthways and lengthways with an adhesive coating on both sides is the safest and most reliable option.

What thickness of wrap do I choose?
The thickness of pallet wrap to choose will depend on the weight of your pallet.
For lighter pallet loads of up to 200 kg: 45 gsm is a suitable option.
For pallet loads of up to 500 kg: between 14-17 microns is recommended.
For pallet loads of up to 800 kg: between 20-23 microns is recommended.
For the heaviest pallets loads of up to 1000 kg: between 23-35 microns is the best choice.
Manual or automatic wrap dispensing?
