Detailed description

Maximise storage, minimise clutter

Rivet Racking Bays with Bins, Shelf UDL 600 kg are robust to withstand the demands of even the most challenging workplaces. The range of bay sizes and bin variations offer the perfect solution for your storage requirements and available space. Enjoy the flexibility of wide-open bays and high shelf capacities, enabling effortless storage of products with varying weights and dimensions – all within a single, efficient unit.

The shelf bins included have been designed to offer a range of bins in “big sizes” for storing large parts or increased volumes and can fit both small parts shelving systems as well as larger bays, such as Rivet or Longspan.

All bins included feature an integral back stop allowing the bin to be suspended out from the shelving, for ease of picking, and have a semi-open front and large labelling area; allowing items to be identified quickly to optimise production. Made from a shockproof blue plastic, the bins are ingeniously designed to nest within each other when not in use, maximising space-saving capabilities.

Ideal for part picking and storage use across industry, including hospitals, storerooms, warehouses, office environments, and workshops, these durable and hardwearing bins are made from a high strength polypropylene.

Maximum bin load: 4 kgs suspended from shelving, or 18 kgs static load within shelving.

With the average time to assemble our Rivet Racking being just 5 minutes, it is easy to create large installations in no time at all. With no nuts and bolts required for assembly, these strong and sturdy options have a maximum shelf load capacity of 600kg. Versatile and expandable to grow along with your capacity and operation, all racking is finished with a strong epoxy paint, to withstand wear and tear.

Each bay includes:

  • Rivet Racking Bay with 7 shelf levels as standard.
  • Shelf bins (see below for configuration options).

Please note dividers are not included, please purchase separately. See refs SFD2820 and SFD4220.

Product FAQs:

How durable is the rivet racking with chipboard decking for heavy-duty storage?

Our Rivet Racking paired with chipboard decking, is designed for tough conditions. Each shelf supports up to 600kg UDL, ensuring it can handle heavy loads. The chipboard decking is robust enough for general storage of various items, but it’s best suited for dry and controlled environments.

Can rivet racking be used for high-volume inventory storage?

Yes, rivet racking is ideal for high-volume storage, particularly when you need to store large quantities of goods. The open bays and chipboard decking provide ample space for organising bulk items in warehouses, stockrooms, and distribution centres.

Is chipboard decking the best choice for all types of products?

Chipboard decking is best suited for general storage needs and works well with a wide range of products. However, for specific storage requirements (e.g., with moisture or cleanliness concerns), other decking materials like steel or mesh may be more suitable. Check out our TS Longspan Racking for mesh and steel decking options.

How do I maintain rivet racking with chipboard decking?

Chipboard decking requires minimal maintenance. To keep it in good condition, ensure that it’s kept dry and free from any standing water or spills. You can clean the decking with a damp cloth, but avoid soaking it, as chipboard can absorb moisture. Regularly check the racking for any signs of wear and tear to maintain its structural integrity.

Can I use rivet racking for storing small items?

Yes, rivet racking is versatile enough to store both small and large items. Chipboard decking provides a solid surface for storing smaller products like tools, parts, or boxes, making it ideal for use in retail or workshop environments. The shelf bins included with the racking are perfect for organising and storing small items for picking needs, for example.

Can rivet racking be used in outdoor environments?

Rivet racking with chipboard decking is best suited for indoor use. While it is durable, exposure to the elements or wet conditions can damage the chipboard over time. For outdoor use, consider ensuring the racking is covered or choose an alternative decking material like steel or mesh. Check out our TS Longspan Racking for mesh and steel decking options.

How much weight can the shelves support?

Each shelf can hold up to 600 kg UDL, please refer to the table above, with a total bay load capacity of 2800kg.

How many shelf bins are supplied with the racking?

Choose from configurations with 12, 15 or 18 shelf bins, see the table for further details.

How large are the shelf bins?

Designed to offer a range of bins in “big sizes” for storing large parts or increased volumes, the shelf bins included can fit both small parts shelving systems as well as larger bays, such as Rivet or Longspan.

Choose from shelf bins in two sizes - either 280mm or 420mm:

How quickly can I assemble the racking?

The racking system assembles in just 10 minutes using a rubber mallet. There’s no need for screws, bolts, or additional tools. See the assembly instructions for further information.

Does the racking come with a warranty?
