Quality control tape for visually flagging product status in manufacturing, warehouse and distribution environments. Four pre-printed messages using a traffic-light colour system: QC PASSED in green, QC HOLD in yellow, QC REJECTED in red and QUARANTINE in red. The 35 micron white PVC backing has a natural rubber adhesive that is high-tack and bonds on contact to paper, board and plastic from 15°C to 65°C, and tears cleanly by hand or from a dispenser. 48mm wide on 66m rolls, under 30kg, 76mm core. PVC tape isn't recyclable.

Sold in boxes of 12 rolls per message, priced per roll.

Where does quality control printed tape work best?

It ensures a single-glance status signal in operations where written labels can be missed, removed or confused with general packaging. Applying tape directly to the item or its outer packaging makes the status impossible to overlook.

    • Manufacturing and production lines where items must be clearly flagged as passed, on hold, rejected or quarantined at each stage to avoid downstream processing of a non-compliant product.
    • Warehouses and distribution centres where goods received inspection requires holding incoming stock pending checks without risking it being picked and despatched.
    • Food, pharmaceutical and regulated industries where a quarantine status must be immediately visible and not removable without obvious evidence of interference.

    Not for

    • Below 15°C: natural rubber adhesive loses tack in cold conditions; confirm the application surface is within temperature range before tagging cold-stored goods.
    • Tamper-evident sealing of outbound parcels: QC tape is a status indicator, not a shipment seal; for tamper-evident carton sealing use a tamper evident alternative instead.
    • Kerbside-recyclable packaging: PVC tape isn't recyclable; use a paper alternative where kerbside recyclability is a requirement.

    How to use

Natural rubber adhesive bonds on contact; the white PVC backing keeps the printed message clearly legible against cartons.

    • Select the correct message: Order each message separately; rolls with different messages shouldn't be mixed in the same box. Store each message in a distinct location to prevent incorrect application.
    • Apply at 15°C or above: Natural rubber adhesive grips immediately on dry surfaces at room temperature; in cool areas confirm the product or carton surface is within temperature range before tagging.
    • Tear or cut to length: The 35 micron PVC tears cleanly by hand at a sharp angle; for consistent strip lengths during busy QC runs a pistol grip dispenser fitted with a 76mm core is faster.
    • Position for visibility: Apply across the top and one side panel where the message is most visible to handlers; do not cover batch codes, date marks or barcodes that need to remain scannable.
    • Store correctly: Store at 15–25°C below 65% humidity; shelf life is 12 months from manufacture.

    Choose the right tape

    • Choose this QC passed tape and QC range when a colour-coded, printed status indicator needs to be applied to product or cartons at inspection points in manufacturing or distribution.
    • Choose RAJA tamper evident tape when sealing outbound parcels or cartons where proof of interference in transit is required.
    • Choose coloured vinyl tape when colour-coded identification is needed without a printed message.

    Frequently asked questions

Can all four QC messages be used on the same pistol grip dispenser?

Yes; each tape shares the same 48mm width and 76mm core, so any message can be loaded into the same dispenser without adjustment between status changes.

Does this quarantine caution tape meet ISO 9000 requirements?

QC tape supports ISO 9000 inspection and non-conformance processes by providing a visible, standardised status indicator; whether it meets a specific organisation's ISO 9000 implementation depends on that organisation's documented procedures. Confirm with your quality manager before use in a regulated inspection process.

Can QC tape be removed without leaving a mark?

The natural rubber adhesive on PVC quality control tape is pressure-sensitive and can be removed cleanly from most board surfaces within a short time of application; it's not a tamper-evident seal. For applications where removal must leave permanent evidence, use tamper evident alternative instead.

Does this tape adhere to plastic packaging as well as cardboard?

Yes, the natural rubber adhesive bonds to paper, board and plastic surfaces, which makes it suitable for tagging both cardboard cartons and plastic-wrapped items or containers at QC inspection points.
