What makes a tape more sustainable?

A tape is more sustainable when it cuts plastic, uses renewable or recycled material, and can be recycled at the end of its life. Paper tape ticks all three, whether you call it eco tape or sustainable packaging tape.

Paper tape is a recyclable tape made from renewable fibres, and it goes in the kerbside bin while still stuck to the box. Plastic tape must be peeled off first, so a paper grade removes that step.

Choosing a sustainable packaging tape

For everyday sealing, RAJA self-adhesive paper tape at 57 gsm is a plastic free tape that tears by hand and seals cartons up to 20kg. It's the direct swap for standard plastic tape and recycles with the box.

Prefer a hot melt grade? The 80 gsm brown paper tape bonds fast on contact and draws 40% of its raw materials from natural resources. If you want eco friendly paper packaging tape, this is a strong choice.

Sealing by machine? RAJA kraft paper machine tape runs through carton sealers, so high-volume lines can move to paper without slowing down.

Need to flag careful handling? Printed fragile paper tape warns handlers and still recycles with the box. For branded eco packing tape or eco friendly custom packaging tape, paper tape can be custom printed with your logo.
