A PVC film tape with natural rubber adhesive for general carton sealing. Available in the widest format range in the vinyl range: 19mm, 25mm, 48mm and 75mm widths in 66m and 100m roll lengths. Brown, clear and white. The 100m roll suits higher-volume stations where roll change frequency matters. Coloured vinyl tape - colour coding and sealing in six colours

Heavy duty vinyl tape - cartons over 30kg

A 58 micron PVC film tape for heavy carton sealing above 30kg. At 58 microns this is the thickest vinyl tape roll in the range, providing greater tensile and burst resistance than the standard 32 to 35 micron grades. Natural rubber adhesive maintains bond strength on irregular and rough board surfaces under load. The correct choice for palletised despatch, heavy product lines and cartons subject to rough transit handling. Dispenser required.

12mm coloured vinyl bag sealing tape - bag neck sealing

A narrow 12mm coloured sticky tape designed for sealing polythene bags and for use with bag neck sealers. The 12mm width provides a neat seal on bag necks without the bulk of standard coloured parcel tape. Available in red, blue, green, yellow and white for simultaneous sealing and colour coding. Compatible with RAJA bag neck sealer references ADVS12B and E9.

Colour coding in warehouses and storage

Coloured vinyl tape is one of the most practical tools for visual management in a warehouse. Assign each colour to a product line, despatch route, handling priority or storage zone and staff can sort, pick and route items at a glance without reading labels or scanning barcodes. Common colour coding systems use:

Standard vinyl tape rolls in brown, clear or white suit despatch operations where cartons have irregular surfaces, recycled board, or where the tape needs to bond to non-paper materials such as plastic outer packaging. Natural rubber adhesive provides faster initial grab than acrylic adhesive and conforms to surface irregularities that stiffer polypropylene tape bridges over. The 100m roll length in the standard vinyl range suits higher-volume sealing stations where roll changes reduce throughput.

Heavy carton and palletised despatch

For cartons above 30kg or subject to rough handling in transit, heavy duty vinyl tape at 58 micron provides the film strength and burst resistance that lighter grades cannot match. On palletised shipments where cartons are stacked under load, the thicker film resists the edge puncturing and seam splitting that thinner tapes show under combined weight and movement. For cartons above 30kg where kerbside recyclability is a requirement, self-adhesive reinforced paper tape is the recyclable alternative.

Post rooms, fulfilment and bag sealing

The 12mm bag sealing tape is designed for post rooms, fulfilment centres and retail environments where polythene bags are sealed and colour coded in one step. The narrow coloured sticky tape format suits bag neck sealers and allows colour coding of bagged items without applying a wide tape strip. Available in five colours to match existing colour coding systems.

Vinyl tape vs polypropylene tape - which should I use?

Both are pressure-sensitive plastic film tapes with natural or synthetic adhesive, but they serve different primary purposes:

• Vinyl packaging tape: thicker, more conformable PVC film; natural rubber adhesive; bonds to board, plastic, glass and metal; hand-tearable on selected grades; suited to colour coding, mixed-surface sealing, heavy cartons and bag sealing.
• Polypropylene tape: thinner, stiffer film; acrylic or hot melt adhesive; optimised for corrugated board at volume; longer roll lengths; lower cost per seal on high-throughput lines.

Choose vinyl tape where surface conformability, colour identification or multi-surface bonding is needed. Choose polypropylene tape for high-volume corrugated carton sealing where throughput and cost per roll are the primary factors.
